solution describes encoders and
decoders located in a PDH/SDH
network with connections to modulators
for up linking to satellite. The
solution contains 4 various sites
(Earth Stations) connected to
one main site through the SDH
network using E3 interfaces. The
solution is designed for transferring
MPEG-2 compressed videos and audios
between the various sites using
both the E3 network interface
and the satellite system. The
solution assumes the availability
of bi-directional network links.
It is also assumed that all sites
are connected with an IP network
to facilitate monitoring and control.
